Fall is a very interesting season in the strait area.  It could be full of snow from mid October, to tanning weather tell mid November.  It's really a gamble.  This year has a little of both.  We had snow flurries already, and an entire week of 20 degree weather.  How would we ever live without our weather, we would have nothing to start every conversation with… we are obsessed with our weather, and we love that our weather is by far stranger then anyone else's.

If you don't get the chance to go to the Canso Causeway all the time,  you must make sure you go there in the fall.  It is a bird lovers paridise.  If you aren't blown away with the 30 or so eagles then the diving birds (not sure what they are) will blow your mind!  I have never seen birds by the hundreds diving into the water for a tasty fish.  AMAZING!

I would love to hear from any of our readers about other great places in this area that would be interesting to visit in the fall and winter.  The idea behind this site is that we have an extremely rich and beautiful area at our fingertips, and if we all share our special places and activities we will all be better off.
